Preliminary design from the later ‘Fuso’ class series. The Japanese Navy did not split it’s preliminary design effort by class and they used a sequential naming for the same category warships, in our case ‘A’ series for battleships.

The last known preliminary design leading up to the Fuso class battleships (A-64) this design features the 356mm / 14″ cannons but in a later Amagi / Kii style arrangement.
